I also serve as a judge for the International Wine & Spirits Competition, the premier competition of its kind in the world. I am the first American to sit on the Scotch Whisky judging panel.

If you think you know me from somewhere – I grew up in New York City where I attended the Bronx High School of Science, and earned a Bachelors of Science in Communication from Syracuse University. I hold an MBA in Management as well as a Masters of Science in Marketing, both from Johns Hopkins University.

I now live in Richmond, Virginia with Elsa the wonder dog.

In addition to writing I do consulting work for liquor companies (not just Scotch) in the fields of Strategy, Marketing, Online and Consumer Behaviour. I am a partner in a Distillery which produces the multi-award-winning Cirrus Vodka. I also hold a Federal license allowing me to import alcohol and am always looking for new partners who would like to reach the American market.

I am available as a guest speaker, for judging, to host Scotch tastings, for writing assignments, interviews, and to conduct staff education for distributors, bars and restaurants.
